Week 2 Assignment

This week we were given a list of many different shots/ camera angles, wee then had to choose around 12 of them to produce ourselves. When I saw that we were doing this project I was very excited. I have always loved filmmaking so this project was right up my alley. I decided I didn't only want to do the project and get it over with but also have a fun time doing it. During my Friday night shift Starbuckscks, we were extremely slow, meaning we could get all of our closing duties done extremely early, givng us a lot of time to work on this project together. My friends/ co-workers got extremely into the idea and we got most of it done while also enjoying oursleves the whole time.

Choker- This is a close up shot of my eye

Close Up- A close shot of a Starbucks cup being lifted off the table
Dolly Shot- For this shot I set my camera on my desk chair and rolled around my house
Extreme Long Shot- For this shot my brother and I used his drone to get a very wide shot of the Silver Lakes RV park where our aunt works.
Flash- This shot is of me unexpectedly coming into the frame asking to take someone's order
Follow Shot- For this shot one of my coworkers followed me with the camera while I put the clean mats behind the bar
Freeze Frame- This is a shot of me dropping a Starbucks drink and using the freeze frame for comedic effect.
Full Shot- This is a shot of my brother leaving the house showing him from head to toe.
Head On Shot- This is a shot of me dropping a tea bag into the pitcher to prepare for brewing.
Over-The-Shoulder- This is a shot of me picking up a drink as if I was a customer drinking it.
Point-Of-View- For this shot I held the camera from my point of view adding whipped cream to a drink and serving it.
Reaction Shot- For this shot I filmed myself reacting to nothing but added a car skid effect to give the illusion of something happening.

Comments

  1. Hi Thomas, I absolutely love the beginning comments of your post. I need you to embed each video into your post so that they don't have to be downloaded by the viewer. Then add a description of each shot. Take a look at some of your classmates post to see how they did this. If you need help see me Monday morning. You can delete this comment after you read it.

  2. Thomas, I believe you accidently entered the same video for your 1st and 2nd shots. Your 1st shot says it's a close-up of your eye, but it is of the coffee cup. If you'll replace it with the correct video, I'll change your grade.
