The clip opens with the classic marvel logo, but in the background, you can already hear the dramatic tone of the clip starting to come through. I don’t know anything about these characters, but just based off the music, camerawork, and editing I can almost defiantly tell you that they have a love relationship. The back to back close up shots on their faces let the viewer get a better look at their facial expressions, and with talented actors like this, that is all they need to tell a story. Next, we are met right away with an unpleasant siren noise and an office full of frantic workers. Before hearing a word out of anyone’s mouth, I already know that something important is happening. The second that the man (Who seems to be the leader of that particular office) picks up the phone, the alarm turns off and the office goes completely silent. Based only on the body language and the silence, I know that whatever the person is saying on the other line is very important. Something that I no...
I want to start off this blog post by apologizing for my lateness. I finished editing the video at around 10:30 last night and my parents turn the wifi in the house off at 10 leaving me unable to upload to youtube. Thank you. This blog post is about my MASTER SHOTS. I filmed shots based on Contrast, Parallelism, Symbolism, and Leitmotif. Click here to view my video. The shot shows me opening a calculus textbook then the shot changes and shows me closing the script for the most recent show I was cast in. Parallelism - For this shot I wanted, again, to include something that I do a lot, play video games. For this shot, I switch between the point of view of my gameplay, to the view of my facial expressions while playing the game. Symbolism - For this shot I wanted to symbolize growth by showing a picture of me when I was only 9 months old, then morphing into...
Being at this school is something very foreign to me. After being at a private school for my whole life until this point in my life, I have gotten used to things like knowing all of the kids in the high school by name, a graduating class of only about 35 kids, and so many other things that just sound crazy at a school like Lely . I was very comfortable at Seacrest. Seacrest became my home, and it is where all my friends are, but something wasn't right. My mom, Brother, and I were in need of a change. So far, the transition has been very smooth, yes this transition is very scary (especially as a junior) but it was a necessary step I needed to take in my life, and I am much more excited than I am frightened.
