While watching this movie I noticed that the director of the movie is very smart when it comes to his scene/ camera work. The beginning of the clip is very emotional and dramatic, I feel this way because of the close u shots and the absence of background noise in some of the clips. In the part where the man is on his phone, i can instantly tell that whatever is happening on the other end of the line is important, because all of the sudden, almost in an instant, everyone in the background is focused on the conversation, and the camera focus is directly on his face, also, his body language is very frantic. The camerawork in this clip is almost beautiful. I personally think that if you don't notice something like this, the better it is. Camerawork should seem un-noticeable to an audience member, because it should just feel like the camera is where it needs to be every time.

Something that can be overlooked in the realm of producing is a cooking show. One that I have been highly interested lately is the Great British Baking Show. One thing that really makes it special is the fine details that go overlooked. Many of the props and background characteristics make it very comforting and more relaxed, and overall much better than classic American cooking shows. One thing that is very special about the show it takes place in a tent in the middle of a beautiful open field, meaning that most of the lighting in the video comes from the sun. Another thing that might go overlooked on a cooking show is the acting and staging due to the fact that it is an unscripted show, however, there are two hosts on the show that do stick to a script. When introducing each new bake, they usually have some type of fun joke or phrase about the specific item that the contestants are about to make. Finally, something that I have noticed that they do a lot in the show is use spacing...

For this assignment, I added sound to my previous Master Shots project, here is the newly edited video: https://youtu.be/3Sdf-HUXKZU One of the types of sound I used was a Voice Over. I added a yawning sound effect over my own yawn that I recorded myself Another sound that I used was Direct Sound . In the last scene, I kept the audio of the panda crunching on the bamboo. I used a Sound Effect (AKA Music) in my symbolism scene to show the magic between me being little and me grown up. Another time i used a voice over , was in the first scene. I wanted to make the scene show what I might have been thinking when I changed the first book into another book. I felt that the scene that showed me playing the video game needed some intense music to show that I was in the heath of a tough battle.

I had some trouble finding more than two examples in the show I chose, but instead of choosing to upload nothing, (Due to a time complication) I decided to upload my two examples so I didn't have nothing to turn in. I wanted to use the show"Maniac" for this assignment because of how well done and interesting it is. The first example I chose was Contrast. The scene shows one of the test subjects sitting in their chair, then goes to another scene of what is going on inside of their head, because of how different the two experiences are. The next example I chose was Parallelism. I chose a scene where the scientists behind this entire project are discussing a complication in the program, that is allowing two of the subjects to interact with each other in their own "dreams". Then it cuts to the subjects having the conversation they were afraid of.

I want to start off this blog post by apologizing for my lateness. I finished editing the video at around 10:30 last night and my parents turn the wifi in the house off at 10 leaving me unable to upload to youtube. Thank you. This blog post is about my MASTER SHOTS. Contrast - I chose to show the contrast of two things that are heavily present in my life, School and Theatre. The shot shows me opening a calculus textbook then the shot changes and shows me closing the script for the most recent show I was cast in. Parallelism - For this shot I wanted, again, to include something that I do a lot, play video games. For this shot, I switch between the point of view of my gameplay, to the view of my facial expressions while playing the game.
